Do you have experience caring for small dogs?
Yes, absolutely. Small dogs are our specialty.
We understand that little dogs are often more sensitive, expressive, and easily overwhelmed. Our team is experienced in handling small breeds with patience, calm energy, and close supervision. Many of us are small-dog pet parents too, so we know how important it is to feel confident about where your pup stays.
What does a typical day look like at Amigo Pet Center?

Is Amigo Pet Center indoor or outdoor?
Our facility is primarily indoor, which allows us to maintain a safe, comfortable, and controlled environment for small dogs.
That said, dogs still go outside for walks, movement, and exercise as part of their daily routine. This combination helps reduce overstimulation while making sure your pup stays active and engaged.
Do you also care for exotic pets?
Yes, we do.
We offer both in-home pet sitting and boarding for small exotic pets such as birds, hamsters, reptiles, and other small companions. Some members of our team have years of experience with exotic animals. If you’re unsure whether we can care for your pet, just ask.
What are the health and vaccination requirements?
To keep all our guests safe and healthy, we require the following:
Dogs
• DHPP: Puppies (4+ months) need at least 2 boosters; adults require annual boosters
• Rabies: Required for dogs 4 months and older
• Bordetella: Every 6 months
• Flea & Tick prevention: Oral or topical
• Spay/Neuter: Males over 7 months must be neutered; females cannot be in heat
Cats
• FVRCP: Completed kitten series or annual booster
• Rabies: Required
• Flea & Tick prevention
• Spay/Neuter required after 7 months
Ferrets
• Canine Distemper: Full series + annual booster
• Rabies: Annual booster
How does booking work?
- A 30% deposit is required to secure your reservation
• The remaining balance must be paid at least one day before drop-off
• We accept credit cards and Zelle
What is your cancellation policy?
Our cancellation policy applies to the deposit:
- 7+ days before service: Full deposit refunded
• 3–6 days before service: 50% refund
• Less than 24 hours: Deposit is non-refundable
This helps us keep our schedule fair and ensure space for all pets.
Why is a bath required for longer stays?
For hygiene and comfort.
Longer stays require a bath to keep our environment clean and comfortable for everyone. Even for shorter stays, a bath is always optional if you’d like your Amigo to go home fresh and cuddle-ready.
